Dad did his National Service in the Fleet Air Arm, he was at HMS Sanderling and caught the end of the North Atlantic Conveys, he spoke little of this except to say all the best died young. He went on to spend 30 yrs with Warwickshire Constabulary. He was the best Dad and died in 2015 aged 87 having had a very full life and proved that some of the best hadn't died young. He is missed every day.
